Server Update Announcement

Sep 30, 2014VPN ZoomService UpdateComments Off on Server Update Announcement

Over the next few days VPN Zoom will be rolling out server side changes to our IPSEC/L2TP protocol. Doing so will provide:

  • Increased security for those who use L2TP
  • Better iOS / Apple connectivity
  • IKEv2 support in preparation for iOS 8 devices, including iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPads

These roll outs will be happening per city and may cause a minimal interruption of service for those using L2TP. Those using OpenVPN or PPTP should not be affected.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to improve our service.

Update: October 1st, 2014 – We have completed all scheduled updates. We are pleased to inform you that no service interruptions occurred during the update process.
